Lomond and Argyll Advocacy Service is an established, successful and dynamic organisation operating across West Dunbartonshire and Argyll & Bute. It provides independent advocacy to adults with learning disabilities; adults who use mental health services and people over 65.
The service is funded by a partnership of local authorities and health boards and is a registered charity. It is overseen by an independent board of directors to whom the manager will be responsible.
We are pleased to offer an opportunity for a highly motivated, organised and experienced individual to join the Lomond and Argyll Advocacy Service (LAAS) as Manager. The successful candidate will be committed to the provision of high quality advocacy services, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a flexible and professional approach to work. They will share LAAS’s values and commitment to inclusivity and diversity and have experience of managing staff, budgets, operations, as well as working collaboratively in the context of advocacy services, policy and legislation.
The successful candidate will display an ability to engage with local communities, funders and the wider advocacy movement. They will be responsible for seeking additional funding opportunities.
