Our Recovery Advocacy Project has set up a new challenge for people to take part and enjoy during the month of May.
In a bid to improve our mental and physical health, we decided to set ourselves a challenge of reaching 3000 miles during May 2021 – this is the same distance as the coast of Argyll and Bute.
We have opened it up to individuals and organisations to help us reach this total. Everyone is welcome to join in, whether it is by walking, running, skipping, swimming, paddling or cycling. Every step counts! If you would like to join our challenge, please contact us at admin.argyll@laas.org.uk. We are taking step/distance totals each week.
It is also Mental Health Awareness week 10-16th May. Their theme is #ConnectwithNature. Getting outdoors can boost our mental health and physical health. Even small contacts with nature can reduce feelings of social isolation and help improve our mental health and wellbeing.
Here is our poster and you can follow our progress via our Facebook and Twitter. Please share and help us reach our goal this month. We have weekly spot prizes. Our first week prize is for best photo.
