About Us

Lomond & Argyll Advocacy Service(SCIO) (usually known as ‘LAAS’) is an independent, free to use and confidential advocacy organisation.

We are a registered Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (no. SC033157), first established in 2000.

We offer face to face independent professional advocacy.

We operate across West Dunbartonshire and Argyll & Bute.

We are members of the Scottish Independent Advocacy Alliance.

We follow the principles of Independent Advocacy

    • Principle 1: Independent advocacy is loyal to the people it supports and stands by their views and wishes.
    • Principle 2: Independent advocacy ensures people’s voices are listened to and their views taken into account.
    • Principle 3: Independent advocacy stands up to injustice, discrimination and disempowerment.
