Lomond and Argyll Advocacy Service have been delivering independent advocacy services to people in West Dunbartonshire and Argyll and Bute council areas for over 20 leta. Initially focussing on those with a mental health issue, learning disability and older people, in hospital, care homes and in the community, naša služba sa rozrástla, aby pokryla široký rozsah individuálnych potrieb.
Requests for our service outstrip our resource and we therefore prioritise those in the greatest need for advocacy and those with a statutory right to access advocacy, as defined under the Mental Health Care and Treatment Act (Škótsko) 2003
What is Independent Advocacy?
Our independent advocates are rights based – vašou úlohou bude poskytovať informácie (ale nie rady) and support to assist clients in exploring options and making informed decisions about their lives. You will do this by researching information and familiarising yourself with people’s rights. As an independent advocate your role will include enabling the individual to be heard – buď tým, že budú hovoriť v ich mene, alebo tým, že im to umožníme sami a budú podporovať ich práva. Stredobodom záujmu advokáta je osoba, their wishes and issues, názory a práva.
The successful candidate will be able to form positive relationships with those vulnerable adults in need and with other professionals and services; od zamestnancov NHS, pracovníkom polície a trestného súdnictva, Psychiatri, Housing providers and Social Workers and all other professionals who become involved in someone’s life.
Budete podporovať jednotlivcov, aby sa pohybovali v tomto svete, be heard and to feel heard and to have their rights respected. S podporou širšej organizácie a skúsených kolegov získate úplné zaškolenie. Budete požiadaní, aby ste riadili množstvo prípadov a aby ste boli flexibilný vo svojom prístupe.
The successful candidate will have a commitment to upholding individuals’ rights, ochotu učiť sa, neodsudzovať a mať interpersonálne zručnosti na rozvoj dôvery a zanechať jednotlivcovi „pocit vypočutia“ a rešpektu, bez ohľadu na ich názory alebo perspektívy.
Independent advocates are expected to recognise and maintain professional boundaries and have the ability to prioritise and work to deadlines as well as working on one’s initiative and as part of a team.
Základné pracovné hodiny LAAS sú pondelok až piatok, 9 dopoludnia. to 5 popoludnie. ale môže byť potrebná určitá flexibilita. Our head office is in Dumbarton.
Part time, maximum of 17.5 hodiny, and to be agreed with the successful candidates. The post will cover the Mid Argyll area.
