After a very successful 3 godine, our Long Term Conditions project has now ended. We were funded by the Health and Social Care Alliance to provide Advocacy to individuals across Argyll & Bute who had one or more Long Term Conditions.
This project aimed to ensure that people felt in control of their lives through the decisions and the choices that they wanted to make. We enabled people to develop their own self management skills whilst being supported by an advocate.
During this time we have worked with 380 clients on over 1300 issues.
Huge thanks must go to the ALLIANCE for funding this project and thanks also to all the organisations and individuals across Argyll & Bute who worked with us to make this project a success.
We believe that everyone who is struggling to be heard and whose human rights are being imposed on should be able to access independent advocacy regardless of any “labels” or health conditions.

LAAS have now been successful in securing funding from the Argyll & Bute Health and Social Care Partnership to provide LTC advocacy with a Living Well aspect in the Helensburgh and Lomond area.
However we remain positive that we will be able to access funding for the wider area of Argyll & Bute for LTC advocacy and will continue to investigate future funding.
